A Few of My Favourite Things - My handmade Wall Hangings

You hope with all your heart that man will inherit these 'treasures' - and love and cherish them as you have - and pass them on to come to be heirlooms in someone else time far into the future. You hope...but...who knows? Some handcrafts will as a matter of fact survive to this lofty and exalted place...while others will turn up on a rummage sale table...or in a charity shop, to be sold for a 'song'

So which 'treasure' should come first? Maybe my 'Home Sweet Home' - the one that hangs on my Kitchen/Dinette door. Apart from these actual embroidered words, it features an ornately appliquéd and embroidered 'cutesy' house, complete with path and picket fence with flowers. The main house and message are surrounded by many small appliquéd squares with pictures of houses, hearts and flowers. Corny as it may seem, my dear old 1878 farmhouse Is the sweetest Home I have had in my six decades of life, so this 'hanging' Is one of my most meaningful 'treasures'.
